Tuesday / Thursday Lunch Days Program
School Council is thrilled to continue our lunch days program using the MunchaLunch online ordering system. The Lunch Program is more than just a healthy meal for your kids 2 times a week throughout the school year. This program is essential in generating funds for a variety of extras, that go a long way in supporting and enhancing our children’s educational experience. Did you know that the program generates over $15,000 in additional funds to support our “Mountain Living Program” (Nature Explorers, Outdoor Pursuits, Music and Dance)? The Fairmont Banff Springs, Aardvark Pizza, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Subway, Earls Banff, The Rimrock Hotel and Brewster's MountView Barbecue are again carefully preparing lunches for our children along with Nesters providing additional veggies and fruit. Thank you to these local vendors for their continued support for this very important fundraiser!
This is a purely volunteer run program. We are in need of lunch day volunteers. We are hoping that if your child is signed up for the lunch program, you could spare 30-45 minutes at lunchtime on an occasional Tuesday or Thursday. Please sign up on the MunchaLunch website when completing your child's order. There is a volunteer link to choose dates that would work best for you. It's a fun way to meet other parents and connect with all the kids. We cannot run the program without the help of volunteers.
The second session will run from February 1 - June 21, 2108. The order system is now open and the order deadline is January 23rd. Once the system is closed we cannot add additional orders. We are happy to continue offering a secure credit card payment option through the MunchaLunch system (preferred payment method). Payment will still be accepted by cash (exact amount) or cheque; either with one cheque dated January 23, 2018 for the entire lunch total, or 2 cheques, one dated January 23, 2018 and one post dated to March 15, 2018. All cheques will be due on January 23, 2018 at the school office. Please make cheques payable to BES School Council and ensure to include the order number with your payment.
Please remember to send your child(ren) with utensils and a container with a lid. No paper plates or utensils will be available if your child does not have their own. Please take advantage of MunchaLunch`s email reminders to confirm your child(ren)`s lunch along with the reminder to send utensils and a container.
