Many of these volunteers have been with the program from its inception in 2012 and are ‘retiring’. The Lunch Program, supported by School Council, requires a new team of four volunteers to coordinate the program for the school year.  We need you to fill one of these positions by the end of May to ensure the Lunch Program continues in the 2018 - 2019 school year: 2 Organizers (to share the duties) - the duties to be covered include setting up the lunch session twice a year which entails corresponding with vendors for dates, menu items and calculating orders. Coordinating the setup of the Munchalunch program.  Also ensuring the set up of food delivery and flow of serving lunch to the students, clean up, etc. Liaison with other Lunch Program volunteers & BES Admin. 1 Volunteer Coordinator- recruit, train & coordinate the lunch servers as well as find replacements when required 1 Computer savvy person to manage our MunchaLunch software program (very simple & user friendly).  It requires approximately 2-3 hours of time with each lunch session (twice a year). As always, we need parent volunteers to serve the lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays for about 25 - 50 minutes over the lunch hour (siblings are welcome), along with volunteers to pick up items from the vendors when required. We will provide training for each of these roles.  If you are able to volunteer or have any questions, please contact a member of the lunch team: Tracey Bartley (; Dianne Melton ( or see Joanne Geyer at the School Office. New School Building Update and Plans January 2018: Phase 2 has been approved.  Clark Builders has been awarded the contract and construction is underway.  Although we are expecting construction noise, especially at the beginning when siding is being removed and they are breaking concrete, the construction company will do their best to be strategic about their timing.  The proposed completion date is late April 2019.  Phase 2 will include the Town of Banff’s contribution to expand the new gym (it will be even larger than our current gym!) and a Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) space. Please click here to review the building plans. PowerSchool - Parent Portal We are continuing to work and grow within our new student information system called PowerSchool. The system has many online features for parents to access their own child(ren)'s demographics information, attendance etc. through the Parent Portal.  A letter with instructions, Access ID and Password will be available for parents to pick up from the school office. We are still working through many processes within PowerSchool and appreciate your patience as we continue to add content. Over time there will be many advantages to using this system.   View the following video to help you get started on PowerSchool Parent Portal. 3 Yr.
