This program is a fundraiser for school council and provides the opportunity for parents to buy nutritious and appetizing lunches for their children on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a purely volunteer run program.  We are in need of volunteers to serve the food and to pick up items.  Please sign up to volunteer on the MunchaLunch website when completing your child's order.  There is a volunteer link to choose dates that would work best for you.  You can also contact Patti Secord, our new Lunch Program Volunteer Coordinator, at psecord@shaw.ca to volunteer. Lunch Program Volunteering and Ordering The Lunch Program needs your help! VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!  The Lunch Program, supported by School Council, is a team of four volunteers that help to coordinate the program for the school year.  Unfortunately one of our parent volunteers had to unexpectedly step away from her position as Volunteer Coordinator. If this something you are interested in please reach out to Joanne Geyer at the school office (training and support will be provided). The Lunch Program is more than just a healthy meal for your kids 2 times a week throughout the school year.  This program is essential in generating funds for a variety of extras, that go a long way in supporting and enhancing our children’s educational experience. Did you know that the program generates over $15,000 in additional funds to support our “Mountain Living Program” (Nature Explores, Outdoor pursuits, Music and Dance)? We cannot run the program without the help of volunteers.  The order system will open next week - please watch for details.. Pick up and Drop off using Squirrel Street The school bus zone is located between the new crosswalk and the signs by the connector.  We are working with the town to improve the signage. In the meantime, please refrain from parking in the bus zone.  Thank you for your assistance.   For your child’s safety please: Teach them to cross the road using the crosswalk When dropping off your child, please pull over to a safe location; NO double parking. For example, many BES students participated in "Crossing the Lava," a team building exercise that encourages students to work as a group, to try various strategies to succeed, and to find their inner leaders. RFTS is also sharing self-regulation strategies by helping students understand how they can get back to the "green zone," the best place to learn and have fun. Many students have taken a Walk of Wow, where they pay attention to the world around them with mindfulness and curiosity, and report on one thing they noticed that inspired them!  I’m certain you will agree our Right From the Start (RFTS) team is integral to BES!
