Volunteering for Nature Explorers
Nature Explorer field trips begin September 12th! We invite you to volunteer whenever you can. We will need at least one parent from each class to help with small group work and group management. All volunteers are greatly appreciated and field trips are a fun way to get involved at school. The Fall sign up options are now available online. For a simple sign up form, PLEASE CLICK HERE.
For your Child’s Safety
1. Scooters - we are asking students to please store their scooters in their lockers (for those that fold) or outside at the bike racks. We are required to keep the boot rooms clear for fire safety.
2. The office doors are open from 8-4. Please remind your children if they are arriving after the bell and the door they usually enter through is locked, to come through the office doors.
3. Children are asked to please walk their bikes and scooters across crosswalks, especially with the construction traffic.
4. Please avoid picking up or dropping off your child on Big Horn Street. Parking has now been restricted on this street.
A great basketball league for Elementary aged boys and girls (Grades 1 - 6). Peaks Basketball Fall Session is now taking registrations (pre-registration is now required). Peaks takes place Monday nights in the gym at Banff Elementary School from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The fall session runs for 6 weeks (Sep 19-Nov 7). Please visit www.peaksbasketball.ca for more information & registration forms. Registration forms may also be picked up at the school office.
