Litterless Lunches, Science Fair, Lego needed : September 29, 2016

We are featuring our Grade 6 students this week!  We are extremely proud of their work and attitude.  Students have been exceptionally helpful; from marshalling the Kindergarten Terry Fox run to being kind, responsible teachers with their Gr. 1 reading buddies. Specific examples of learning include working cooperatively in groups to share their learning about the levels of the forest, participating in Math Club after school and modelling habits of mind everyday.

Students who attend school in the Bow Valley and are enrolled in Grades 4 to 12 are invited to compete. This is an exciting opportunity in the Bow Valley for students to explore and discuss science in a different light...outside of the classroom!   Please click here for more information and the registration package.

Litterless Lunches
BES is committed to educating our students about the importance of caring for the environment.  We are asking families to pack lunches that produce very little to no waste. Reusable containers and drink bottles make this possible. Studies prove it can make lunches more cost effective and healthier too.  Please click here for some waste free lunch tips.
