First Day – Welcome Back!
Welcome to a new school year! We are very excited to be welcoming your child(ren) to Banff Elementary School. Please come right into the school when you arrive on the first day. The new front doors, the connector doors and the gym doors will all be open. Staff will be on hand to help you and/or your child locate their new classroom. Class lists will be posted in the gym and the foyer of the new building. You may also login to Powerschool to see the name of your child’s teacher after September 3rd. New students are invited to meet in the foyer of the new building and we will be happy to help you find your class.

School Bus Services
Kindergarten through grade seven students may use the bus if they live close to a current CRPS school bus stop. You must register for the bus and get a bus pass if you have not been on the bus before. Passes will automatically be mailed out to past school bus passengers. Please call the Transportation Department with any other questions at 403-678-5545.
Students in Grades 1-7 are required to purchase school supplies. A list of the school supplies was emailed to parents in June. It is also available on our school website. Please note that if you have pre-ordered school supplies through Bow Valley Basics there are a few additional items that your child will require at school which are not available from Bow Valley Basics. These additional items are listed at the bottom of the school supply list. School supplies should be brought to school or will be distributed if pre-ordered on September 5th.
In accordance to Bill 1, school fees have been reduced. Bill 1 amended the School Act and therefore there are no longer fees for instructional supplies and materials. An invoice for extra curricular fees and lunch supervision will be generated after school commences. Payment options and details will be provided at that time. School Fees will also be posted on our school website.
Food for Learning
Food for Learning is a program available to students at Banff Elementary School. The purpose of the program is to provide a nutritious snack and lunch to children of families requiring some assistance. Families do not need to qualify in any way; you simply request that your child be included in the program. This program is supported by our community, through corporate donations and dedicated volunteers. It is a no fee initiative. Interested families can pick up information and register at the school office. This program will begin mid September.
