School Assembly - The Queen, the Bear and the Bumblebee

Friday, May 16 - 9:00 am, Gym. 

All of the Artist in Residence that worked with every student this week will joining us for a celebration of the arts. Also, author Dini Petty will be sharing her story surrounding the creation of The Queen, the Bear and the Bumblebee.

BES School Council AGM

The BES School Council will hold its AGM and May Council Meeting on May 21, 3:30 pm in the BES Library. 

As we plan for the 2014-15 school year, we are looking for volunteer to join the board and help with some key school programs. We need:



Two volunteers to help coordinate the Hot Lunch Program
One volunteer to join the Mountain Readers Team – scheduling with teachers and volunteers
Co-Chair or Vice Chair position
 Parents who would like to join the Council Board as general members
One volunteer to help coordinate School Supply orders.

Family Carnival and Dance

May 22, 2014

Time: 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm

This event helps provide funding for program enhancements beyond the regular curriculum such as the school's Young Explorers program, Outdoor Pursuits activities and out year round music program. Please save the evening for this special event. 

Old Stuffies for the Carnival: Once again, you are invited to find a new home for your gently used stuffies by donating them tot he BES Family Carnival. Please bring your stuffies to school next week. A collection kennel will be set up in the office.
