Tuesday / Thursday Lunch Program
BANFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LUNCH DAYS PROGRAM
School Council is thrilled to continue our lunch days program using the MunchaLunch online ordering system. We can only continue to offer this program IF we have enough volunteers to pickup and serve lunch. This program is a fundraiser for School Council and provides the opportunity for parents to buy nutritious and appetizing lunches for their children on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All funds raised go directly back to support Banff Elementary School programs such as Nature Explorers and Outdoor Pursuits (swimming, skiing, snowshoeing, climbing, curling, tennis, canoeing, etc). The Fairmont Banff Springs, Aardvark Pizza, The Old Spaghetti Factory, Subway, Earls Kitchen, The Rimrock Resort Hotel and Wild Flour are again carefully preparing lunches for our children. Thank you to these local vendors for their continued support of this very important fundraiser!
This is a purely volunteer run program. If your child is signed up for the lunch program, we ask that you volunteer for at least one lunch this session. Lunch is served from 12:00 -12:15 pm and again from 12:30 - 12:45 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. You can sign up on the MunchaLunch website when completing your child's order to choose the date(s) that would work best for you. It's a fun way to meet other parents and connect with all the kids. You can also contact our volunteer coordinator Gabby DeBaie at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer. We cannot run the program without the help of volunteers.
The second session will run from February 4 - June 18. The order system will open Friday, January 17, 2020 and the order deadline is January 26, 2020. We are happy to continue offering a secure credit card payment option through the MunchaLunch system (preferred payment method). Payment will still be accepted by cash (exact amount) or cheque; either with one cheque dated January 26, 2020 for the entire lunch total, or 2 cheques - one dated January 26, 2020 and one post dated to March 31, 2020. All cheques are due on January 27 at the school office. Please make cheques payable to BES School Council and ensure to include the order number with your payment.
Please remember to send your child(ren) with utensils and a container with a lid. No plates or utensils will be available if your child does not have their own. Healthy snacks are still required to augment the meal provided on Lunch Days.
Please take advantage of MunchaLunch`s email reminders to confirm your child(ren)`s lunch along with the reminder to send utensils, a container and a snack.
