Before School Care Registration 2019 - 2020 Gearing Up for Kindergarten - A School Readiness and Parent Education Program for children entering Kindergarten in 2019. My Child's Learning: A Parent Resource from Alberta Government Vaccinations for Kindergarten Students from Alberta Health Services Before School Care Juggling work and family can be challenging. We at Banff Elementary School would like to support families by offering before school care starting at 7:30am. This is a free service for BES families. The Canadian Rockies 12th Annual Regional Science Fair Celebrate Science in the Rockies The Twelfth annual Canadian Rockies Regional Science Fair will be held Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 in the Banff Elementary School gymnasium, in BANFF.  Students who attend school in the Bow Valley and are enrolled in grades 4-12 are invited to compete. This is an exciting opportunity in the Bow Valley for students to explore and discuss science in a different light...outside of the classroom!   Please click here for the Registration package. Kids & Youth Ski Passes Banff Lodging Company is once again supporting Banff kids & youth ski passes at Banff Norquay.  Under this program, all students at Banff Elementary School and Banff Community High School are eligible to receive a season pass for the 2018-19 ski season at Banff Norquay for a nominal administration fee of $25.00+GST.  Payment is accepted by Banff Norquay ONLY - by mail (with a cheque) or by fax (with a credit card number) or in person at Banff Norquay. New School Building Update and Plans January 2019: Clark Builders and the team of construction personnel are busy building Phase 2 of BES. The proposed completion date is mid-May 2019.  Phase 2 will include the Town of Banff’s contribution to expand the new gym (it will be even larger than our current gym!) and a Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) space. Please click here to review the building plans. PowerSchool - Parent Portal We are continuing to work and grow within our new student information system called PowerSchool. The system has many online features for parents to access their own child(ren)'s demographics information, attendance etc. through the Parent Portal.  A letter with instructions, Access ID and Password will be available for parents to pick up from the school office. We are still working through many processes within PowerSchool and appreciate your patience as we continue to add content.
