Health & Safety Month, Parent/Teacher/Child Conferences : October 13, 2016

It is Healthy and Safe Month at BES!  We know it is essential for student learning to create a safe and caring environment.  Students will be learning and practicing Bus Safety, Crosswalk/Street Safety, Wildlife Safety, Mindfulness/Self-Regulation, Lockdown and Fire Drills.

An educational partnership with Lafarge allowed our Grade 3 classes to visit the Canmore Museum and the Lafarge plant for hands-on opportunities to learn about rocks and minerals (the curricular outcome:  Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of materials that comprise Earth’s crust, and demonstrate skill in classifying these materials) at no cost to our school.  Check out 3R’s wearing hard hats for safety!
