Grade 4 students from Morley to Lake Louise were fortunate to have been invited to participate in Bringing Back the Bison program on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum here in Banff.  Students learned about the cultural and ecological importance of the bison reintroduction. The program included a series of activities to connect youth with the reintroduction, including first-hand stories, an elder’s talk about their relationship to the bison, and a bison craft. This learning experience aligns with the Social Studies and Aboriginal Perspectives and Experiences unit in Grade 4.
