Spotlight on Learning
The Makerspace committee have been busy organizing and preparing the BES Makerspace.  What is a Makerspace?  Makerspaces are learning environments in which students can construct and build ideas using physical and digital tools and materials.  Our goal is to create opportunities for classes to achieve curricular outcomes through design thinking, tinkering, and playing with ideas using low and high tech tools and materials.  An exciting spin-off:  Miss Major will be working with a doctoral student from the University of Calgary (and former CRPS teacher!) who is researching the development of design principles that can be used as foundations for makerspace implementation at the elementary school level.

Professional Development Day
Friday, November 17, 2017
12:01 pm dismissal for Gr. 1 to 7
No Kindergarten Classes

School Hours
Our school day begins promptly at 8:30.  Students are welcome to come in starting at 8:20am.  If you are needing childcare prior to the beginning of school, please register for our Before School Care program.

Colder Weather
Our colder weather and snow means students require proper outdoor clothing for recess and Nature Explorer trips. When inside, students also need to have indoor shoes on at all times and to keep a sweater with them, in case of a fire alarm.
