September 21, 2018 : Lunch Program Volunteers, Parking, Calendar

Spotlight on Learning
Students chose canoeing for the Grade 8 Outdoor Pursuits.  Many thanks to the PAUW Foundation, Mactaggart Third Fund, and School Council Lunch Program fundraising for their support of these curriculum enhancing programs. Students worked very hard together learning basic strokes. We look forward to two more weeks of putting these skills to use!

Full Day Friday
Friday, September 28th
Full day of school (8:30 - 3:05) Grades 1 - 8 (No Kindergarten this day)

Lunch Program
Thank you This is a purely volunteer run program.  We are in need of volunteers to ensure this program can run.  We need volunteers to serve lunch and to pick up orders from the vendors on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please contact our volunteer coordinator Gaby DeBaie at to volunteer or log into the MunchaLunch system to select dates.  We cannot run the program without the help of volunteers.

Parent Parking, Pick-up and Drop-off
There are three sections for parking/drop off on Squirrel Street: a 5 minute drop-off zone, a bus zone, and a parking zone.  The drop off zone is intended for strictly that: dropping off/picking up your child. Please do not park your car in that zone. The bus zone is for buses. Please no parking or dropping off in this zone!  Parking is available on Elk, Moose and Big Horn Streets. Students are welcome to exit the connector to the rear and meet you on Big Horn, as parking may be easier for you on Big Horn. These parking areas are monitored by the RCMP/By-Law and tickets are being issued.

The boys Grade 7&8 volleyball team needs 1-2 parent volunteers to help their coach. No volleyball experience necessary! The practices are Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:00. There are two tournaments they hope to go to: Friday October 5th in Canmore from 1-5pm and Saturday Nov 3rd in Calgary all day. If you can help chaperone and/or coach these events please let Ms. Irvine know asap (
