November 8, 2018 : Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences, Family Lunch, Save the Date - Community Christmas Concert

Spotlight on Learning
Volleyball wrapped up this week with a tournament on Saturday in Calgary, final games at LGMS and a staff vs student friendly match on Thursday.  A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches who ran every practice and spent their entire Saturday (7am-9pm) at Rally Pointe! These wonderful adults have shared their love of the game and taught more than volleyball skills:  Tracey Rewerts, Silas Rutley, Anne-Marie Clarke, Allyson Van Impe and Stan Andronyk. BES is very proud of our students who participated, showed up to practice with a great attitude and were excellent representatives for our school on and off the court.

Parent / Student / Teacher Conferences - Progress Reporting
November 14 & 15    Evening conferences - regular classes during the day

One of our obligations is to share student progress with parents. Please help us by booking an appointment.  Appointments must be booked online at (not Parent Portal) from November 2nd until November 14th at 12:00 pm.  Please click here for instructions (a new account must be created each year). After November 14th at 12:00 pm the online booking system will be closed - parents will be required to email their child's homeroom teacher directly to change or book an appointment after that time (please click here for staff directory).  Please note, Grade 7 & 8 homeroom teachers will provide an overview of all courses this semester (with the exception of music - please book a separate time with Mr. N if you wish).

Please Send Snacks on Hot Lunch Days
Children still require healthy snacks to augment the meal provided on Hot Lunch Days.  Nester’s usually donates a fruit or vegetable on Thursdays to accompany the Hot Lunch. On Tuesdays there is often no fruit or vegetable served with the main dish. On Subway day, one cookie is provide per child (not per sub). Please be sure to pack a snack each day and a vegetable or fruit along with a container and cutlery for your child on Hot Lunch Days.  Thank you for helping us provide a balanced meal for your child.
