September 13 2019: Lunch Program, Squirrel Street, Volleyball Coaches, Family and School Wellness Worker

Spotlight on Learning
The Grade 7 Leadership Camp spent two days out at the Canadian Rockies Outdoor Learning Centre. This was the first ‘camping’ experience for some, first time away from Mom and Dad for others, and the first time working together for all. Students even loved doing the dishes together!

Full Day Friday
Friday, September 20
Full day of school (8:30 - 3:05) Grades 1 - 8 (No Kindergarten classes)

Lunch Program
School Council is thrilled to continue our lunch days program. The first lunch session will run from October 1 - January 30. The order system will open on Monday September 16 and the order deadline is Tuesday, September 24. Please click here for more information and the links to the order system. This program is a fundraiser for School Council and provides the opportunity for parents to buy nutritious and appetizing lunches for their children on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a purely volunteer run program.  We are in need of volunteers. Please contact our volunteer coordinator Gabby DeBaie at to volunteer. You can also sign up on the MunchaLunch website when completing your child's order.  We cannot run the program without the help of volunteers.

Squirrel Street Closure
Thank you, thank you for making this pilot a tremendous success!  Parent and student feedback has been 100% positive. Barricades go out at 8am and are removed as soon as the morning busses depart (8:30ish).  In the afternoon, barricades go out around 2:45pm and are removed as soon as the busses depart. We need your help!  If you are going by and see the barricade should be out (8:00am or 2:45pm) or be returned to its spot by the fence (8:30 or 3:10ish), please feel comfortable moving it as needed.  This would be greatly appreciated!!

CRPS Board Meeting
The next Public School Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 24 at 7:00 pm at the Canmore Central Board office. Please follow the link to view the highlights from the June 20, 2019 Public School Board Meeting.

Gr. 7/8 Volleyball
Volleyball season begins next week! Coaches are needed for the boys teams and an assistant coach for the Gr. 7 girls team. Please contact the School Office if you are interested in coaching.
