October 25 2019: Halloween Parade, Sock-tober, School Fees, Annual Update, Ski for FREE, Picture Orders/Retake Day

Spotlight on Learning
Our Federal election has prompted our Grade 8 Social Studies students to consider practically what it means to govern a country. With a real audience in mind, they have written thought provoking papers about how students would unite Canadians as our new Prime Minister. Students have thoughtfully considered economic, political and social issues in their writing.

In Outdoor Education, Division 3 students have worked on understanding floatation and survival skills. This week they tested to see how much weight their floatation devices can practically support. Students were surprised to realize the effectiveness of their designs. While the rafts didn’t all stay afloat, students returned to school safe, dry and comfortable… and with clear feedback on how to improve their designs!
