February 14, 2020: Family Day Break, New Books, Pink Shirt Day

Spotlight on Learning
On Wednesday, Grade 5 students, Erin, J.B., Grace, Ericka, Caden, Yunseo, Mariel, Claire and Alexis, organized and held an origami fundraiser to raise money for cancer research. They created over 200 different types of origami which they sold to BES students, staff and families. They created announcements and advertising, managed the money and tallied the amount all on their own. We are happy to announce that they raised $107.37!  Mrs. Gadon will be delivering the funds raised to the Tom Baker Cancer Research centre on behalf of BES this weekend.
