Spotlight on Learning
Through CTF, students may plan, design, create, and implement solutions for relevant real-life problems. As students engage in hands-on challenges, they develop social, interpersonal, life, and work skills as well as practical knowledge about various industries, issues and technologies. Our students are enjoying coding, drama, photography, outdoor education, art, French, instrumental music, and entrepreneurship.

Hoodies & T-Shirts Sales
Back by popular demand are our BES hoodies and t-shirts. These shirts celebrate our new school logo created by Jason Carter. Our school has worked with the celebrated Canadian artist to redesign our school bear in order to represent a school with students aged Kindergarten to grade 8. We believe that our logo continues to represent the beliefs held in our “CUBS” code, while adjusting to the needs of our older students.
Hoodies are $40 and T-Shirts are $15 and they can be ordered in the following sizes:
Youth Medium / Youth Large / Youth XLarge / Adult Small / Adult Medium / Adult Large

If you are interested in purchasing a hoodie and/or a t-shirt, please complete the order form and send exact cash or a cheque payable to Banff Elementary School by Friday March 13, 2020.  Order forms can be printed from this link, or hard copies can be picked up at the office.

Parking and Drop Off Zones
Please take a close look at the map below regarding the recommended traffic flow and drop-off/pick-up locations for your children. We have been working closely with the Town of Banff to make getting to and from school a safe experience for all students. ***Note there is NO stopping southbound on Big Horn - we have had several near-misses with cars having to brake suddenly to avoid hitting children running across the street to their parent’s vehicles who are stopped across the street. Please teach your child to use the crosswalk at either corner (Moose & Big Horn or Elk & Big Horn), or better yet approach the Big Horn Kiss N’ Go area northbound so your child does not have to cross the street. When the ‘road closed’ signs are in place on Squirrel Street (8:00 am - 8:40 am and 2:45 pm - 3:15 pm), please do not drive around them. These are in place for students’ safety. The main entrance on Squirrel Street is open from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, the Big Horn Street entrance is open from 8:00 - 8:40 am and 2:45 - 3:15 pm. Thank you for your help in this matter.
