March 13 2020: Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences, Science Fair Cancelled, Hoodies/T-Shirt Orders, School Council

Spotlight on Learning
Handwashing is a hot topic for everyone, and this includes BES. Teachers have been emphasizing its importance with all classes. Ms. Jenniex (RFTS) has been visiting classes to review key points: ‘When do we need to wash hands?’, remember to wash between fingers, fingernails (scrub fingertips on palms to clean), thumbs, and to lather for at least 20 seconds (sing the ABC’s or Happy Birthday twice).

Hoodies & T-Shirts Sales
Back by popular demand are our BES hoodies and t-shirts. These shirts celebrate our new school logo created by Jason Carter. Our school has worked with the celebrated Canadian artist to redesign our school bear in order to represent a school with students aged Kindergarten to grade 8. We believe that our logo continues to represent the beliefs held in our “CUBS” code, while adjusting to the needs of our older students.
Hoodies are $40 and T-Shirts are $15 and they can be ordered in the following sizes:
Youth Medium / Youth Large / Youth XLarge / Adult Small / Adult Medium / Adult Large
If you are interested in purchasing a hoodie and/or a t-shirt, please complete the order form and send exact cash or a cheque payable to Banff Elementary School by Monday March 16, 2020.  Order forms can be printed from this link, or hard copies can be picked up at the office.

School Council
Come one come all! Child care will be provided. We are meeting March 18 at 3:30 pm in the staff room. Parents play an important role in student success. School councils allow parents to participate in decisions that impact student learning. By contributing knowledge, perspective and ideas at school council meetings, parents are actively contributing to the success of our school community.

Please contact the school office to make payment arrangements if unable to pay in full at this time.
