April 24, 2020 Update

We hope everyone had a good week and are back into their distance learning routine. Please know you are welcome to contact your child’s teacher, Mr. Shoemaker or Ms. McKibbin via email if you are in need of any learning tools or assistance.  We are happy to call you back!

Spotlight on Learning
Teachers are creative folks. They have found a wide variety of ways to make this distance teaching and learning thing work! Check out below the Grade 6 ‘Tub Talks’ and ‘Bath Math’!  You will also find examples on Twitter @Banff_El_School and @MountainEdu. RFTS also has been creating different ways to support everyone’s Mental Health (check out their awesome website).

CRPS Board Meeting
Please follow the link to view the agenda for the Public School Board meeting scheduled for April 29, 2020. This meeting will be a virtual meeting, recorded and closed for in-person public attendance to help prevent the community spread of the COVID-19 virus.

School and Family Wellness Worker
During these uncertain times it can be helpful for students and families to have someone they can connect with to talk about their fears and emotions. Please know that you can access Ms. Van Impe via phone and email. She is available too through google hangouts to meet face to face with you or your children. Reach out; together we can support each other with effective new ways to address social emotional supports.
