June 19, 2020 Staff Farewell, Chromebook/Library Book Returns, Lost and Found, School Re-Entry Plan, Report Cards, School Supplies Pre-Order

Spotlight on Learning
A.  Mrs. Gadon collaborated with Ms. Heather Jordan to create a music video using many of the 300+ submissions Mrs. Gadon received during this remote learning time. It tells the story of taking music skills students have learned through music class to continuing to compose and create music during this crazy time. Watch for this video on our Facebook page and our website shortly.

B.  It is time for us to bid farewell to our wonderful Grade 8 students.  Although we are sad to see them go, they are ready for the challenges of high school! This cohort has demonstrated compassion for our younger students, those who were affected by the Australian wildfires by fundraising to make a group donation, and for each other.

Grade 8 students have been reflecting on their years at BES. Here are a few of their favourite BES memories (warning: these may bring tears to your eyes!).

Staff Farewell
We are saying farewell to M. Vallee and Miss Major (heading to LGMS), Mrs. Skwara (heading to ERS), Mme Sander (on maternity leave - new Mom to a baby boy, Addison!), Ms. Peart, Mrs. Martel, Ms. Dobie, Ms. Kelly, and Mr. Mackenzie. Mr. Shoemaker will now be full time at BCHS and Ms. McKibbin is taking on a new role as Director of Learning and Innovation at the CRPS Board Office. We wish everyone the best in their new adventures.

Chromebook Returns
Please return borrowed Chromebooks and chargers between June 17-22 during regular school hours (8-12 & 1-3:30). Ring the doorbell when you arrive and place the Chromebook/charger on the table. Please respect social distancing requirements. We will answer the door and collect the Chromebook. If needed, we will be loaning them again in the fall. Thank you!
