September 11, 2020: Screening, School Council Meeting, Before School Care, News from the Office

Spotlight on Learning
Our grade 7 / 8 students in Mr. Weller/Mrs. Sunderland’s class have been working on Positivity Posters and will be displaying their work in the school. These messages speak to the number of adjustments that students have had to make. We encourage you to continue speaking with your child(ren) about physical distancing, hand hygiene and wearing a mask. It is important for students to remain with their cohort while at school. As a reminder, parents are to remain outside for pick up and drop off. Should you need to enter the building an appointment is required 24 hours in advance.

Professional Development Day
Friday, September 18, 2020
12:00 pm dismissal for Gr 1 - 8
No Kindergarten classes

Please use the Screening Questionnaire to self-screen your child daily. Keep your child home should they display any symptoms (even mild symptoms). If your child has answered “Yes” to any of the screening questions, please DO NOT send them to school at this time. They should stay home and use the AHS Online Self-Assessment Tool to determine whether they need to be tested for COVID-19. Parents must immediately inform school administration if a child tests positive for COVID-19.
