National Day for Truth & Reconciliation
September 30, 2021 will be a day of observance for the Truth and Reconciliation calls to action.  Note there will be no school on this day.

TRC #80 states:

“We call upon the federal government in collaboration with Aboriginal peoples to establish as a statutory holiday, a National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour Survivors, their families, and communitie, and ensure that public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools remains a vital component of the reconciliation process.”

Please see the letter sent from our district that outlines this change to our calendar.  Our school is also planning a learning opportunity on September 29, 2021 to learn together about Truth and Reconciliation.
