Our Grade 6 students had the pleasure of virtually meeting Mayor DiManno this afternoon. She supported students’ learning on municipal government by sharing details about her role as mayor and formerly Town Councillor. She also shared information about the organization of Banff´s municipal government along with how as grade 6 students they could participate in democracy with our municipal government. Students also had the chance to ask her questions such as what are the challenges of being Mayor.
