Principal’s Post
Well, as they say, that’s a wrap! The Grade 8 Farewell was a beautiful celebration of learning, growth, belonging, and community. Thank you to staff and families for your continued support and engagement in helping our students grow from cubs to bears! Thank you to the Grade 8s for leaving their legacy this year with the new BES felted sign that will be hung in the school. Also, the Grade 8s left their mark (thumb prints) on last year's legacy project that will continue each year as a farewell tradition. What a great way to celebrate the end of the year and beginning of summer!

Spotlight on Learning
After 25 years of teaching at Banff Elementary School, Ms. Beecroft is heading to Elizabeth Rummel School in Canmore. I had the opportunity to speak with her this morning. When I asked her about her time here at BES, she told me that having had the opportunity to work with children and their families was her highlight. Her favourite thing is seeing students feel proud of themselves and also feeling good about their unique accomplishments.
Ms. Beecroft has made an impact on BES. She’s taught Kindergarten, Grade 2, a 4/5 and a 5/6 combined class. She’s worked as our literacy support teacher, she supported English language learners, and she was our assistant principal.
We wish Ms. Beecroft well. She’s excited to continue working with early literacy development and having an opportunity to connect with a new community, new students, new families and colleagues. We will miss you!
