E-NEWS & Principal's Post

We made it! What a fantastic 2024-2025 school year. Thank you to all our families, volunteers, community members, staff and students for a fabulous year. It has been an honour to serve as your Principal at BES this year. I am proud of the work we have done this year and excited for the goals we have set for the 2025-2026 school year!
A special thank you to Mr. Jackson, Ms. Bella, Ms. Mackenzie, Ms. Mayne and Ms. Flores. Thank you for your positive impact and the exceptional work you have done while here at BES. Your caring approach was appreciated by all and you will certainly be missed at our school. We wish you all the best on your new adventures!
On behalf of all of us at BES, we hope everyone has a safe and happy summer holiday! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday August 26!
A Single Seed was seen and heard by Prime Minister Mark Carney!
We were absolutely thrilled to receive the letter below from Prime Minister Mark Carney on Tuesday! When we began this project, our hope was that it would be recognized for its impact—and we are beyond excited that our Prime Minister not only saw it but also acknowledged the powerful message our students shared. We are incredibly proud of their work and the meaningful voice they brought to this project. Adding to the excitement, we also received an email from a teacher in Germany who was so inspired by our students' message that she is now using it to encourage her own class to take on a similar initiative. This has been an incredibly positive and inspiring experience for everyone involved—a wonderful celebration of the creativity, dedication, and hard work of our students and staff at BES!
