Our Grade 2s and 3s went to the Wetlands to student Animal Life Cycles.

Ms. G makes learning music so much fun, for all grades!

Our kindergarten students have been very creative with their inventions during their “MakerSpace” time!

Our Grade 7 and 8 Track and Field team participated in the Zones Track and Field meet in Calgary on Tuesday. Although it was highly competitive with some of the best athletes in the province, our team put forth an amazing effort. Our students achieved personal bests and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship by cheering for each other as well as other teams. Top performances were the grade 8 girls 4 x100 meter relay team, Lily Fochuk, Charlotte Moffatt, Kotomi Takano and Aidan Secord who won their heat. In addition, Junseo Choi placed 5th in the 80m hurdles and beat his personal best time by 2 seconds. Congratulations to all of our Track and Field athletes for a fantastic season!

Lost and Found

The number of items in our lost & found has been growing again. Please ask your child to check out the lost & found tables or feel free to come by and check for lost items. Lost & Found items remaining at the school on June 30 will be donated to local charities.

2022-2023 School Year
Children already attending Banff Elementary School do not need to complete a new registration, even if your child is transitioning to Banff Community High School or Canmore Collegiate High School next school year. If your plans change and your child(ren) will not be attending BES in the fall, please let the school office know as soon as possible.

Grade 8 Farewell
The Families of our Grade 8 students are invited to the Grade 8 Farewell on Thursday June 30 9:00  to 10:00 am in the BES gymnasium. A photography area will be set up for you to capture your child's recognition and farewell. After the ceremony please join teachers and students for refreshments upstairs in the Div. 3 Learning Lab.

Make meaningful connections, share your different cultures, learn a new language, build life-long memories & friendships! Volunteering
Banff Elementary School loves and greatly appreciates our volunteers! We require all volunteers who help in the school or on field trips to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check through the RCMP and sign a Confidentiality Contract as per Canadian Rockies Public Schools’ Administrative Procedure 490 - School Volunteers and FOIPP. Prior to volunteering, please email your legal name to the school office at bes.info@crps.ca to request an RCMP Fee Waiver Letter and we will email you back the letter, required forms and instructions. Often Vulnerable Sector Checks can be completed by the RCMP within 24 hours. Please click here for more information on volunteering opportunities.

School Fees Now Due
Banff Elementary School fees are available on PowerSchool Parent Portal and are now due. Debit or credit card payments can be made online through your Parent Portal. If you are unable to make full payment at this time or have any questions, please contact Joanne Geyer at joanne.geyer@crps.ca. School fees that remain outstanding on June 30 may be sent to collections. Please click here for instructions on how to make a payment using PowerSchool Parent Portal.
