Purple Day
Did you know 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime?
Purple day for epilepsy was created to raise awareness and show support for those living with and affected by this disease. Show your support on March 26th by wearing purple of any kind! Banff Elementary School will recognize Purple Day on Friday March 24 - wear purple to show your support. Bake Sale Thank You

Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to 6KF’s bake sale. Many people helped by baking treats like the cupcakes, muffins and many varieties of cookies. There is also a big thank you to all the students and teachers who took time out of their day to sell the baked goods for 2 days. With the baked goods that were sold we have reached an amount of  $1233.70 for Turkey and Syria. We all hope that this will be enough money to support survivors and help the clean up of rubble and collapsed buildings. Not only is it a total of $1233.70, the Red Cross foundation will be doubling the donation of that to get a total of $2467.40 for Turkey. Once again, thank you to all the people who contributed to this bake sale. - 6KF class

Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) Survey

The Alberta Education Assurance survey gathers feedback on the quality of education provided by school authorities and their schools. Schools and school authorities use this information to understand how they are doing and plan for the future. Here at BES this information helps guide our Four Year Education Plan as well as drives our school initiatives. Parent feedback is very important to us. The parent survey package was mailed out by Alberta Education starting around February 6th and the deadline to complete is March 17, 2023. In the package parents will be directed to either complete the surveys online or return completed paper copies directly to Alberta Education. Requests for a survey in one of the supported languages (French, Punjabi, Cree, Korean, Denesuł̨in̨e, Tagalog, Chinese (Traditional or Simplified), Arabic, Spanish or Urdu) can be made to the Banff Elementary School office or the System Assurance Branch (EDC.SystemAssurance@gov.ab.ca).

Prior to volunteering, please email your legal name to the school office at bes.info@crps.ca to request an RCMP Fee Waiver Letter and we will email you back the letter, required forms and instructions. Often Vulnerable Sector Checks can be completed by the RCMP within 24 hours. Please click here for more information on volunteering opportunities.

The OSC program hours compliment the Canadian Rockies Public School calendar- providing care during the after school hours, PD days, parent/teacher interviews, the staggered kindergarten entry and school breaks.
