E-NEWS & Principal's Post

Ms. Emro's Handbell Club, The BES Ringers, have been out performing in the community! Recently, they shared their music and talent at St. George's in the Pines as well as at the Home Grown Art show at the Town of Banff. Ms. Emro, thank you for sharing your passion and talent with the students who are now sharing it with the Banff community!

As part of Computer Science, one of our Div. 3 complementary courses, Mr Conniff and the Grade 7 students used computer-aided design (CAD) to transform their ideas into three-dimensional snow sculptures.

Lost & Found
The Lost and Found at BES is growing and growing. Please have your child take a look or stop by the school.

School Council
School Council is a liaison group between parents/guardians, teachers, administration, community and School Board to encourage communication, involvement and cooperation with the goal of maximizing individual student learning and enhancing school life. As a parent or a guardian with a child in the school, you are considered a member of School Council. We welcome all parents to join our Council meetings to learn, observe, and have a voice. School Council generally meets the third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 pm (in-person at BES and virtually). Whether you can join for one meeting, or every meeting, for 30 minutes or the full hour, your involvement is welcome. The next meeting is Wednesday March 20 3:30 pm.

Town of Banff Children & Youth Programs and Summer Programs
The Out-of-School Club (OSC) is a licensed childcare program offering care for school aged children, September to June. With a focus on child-led play, exploration and natural curiosity, OSC aims to connect children through indoor and outdoor programming. The OSC program hours compliment the Canadian Rockies Public School calendar- providing care during the after school hours, PD days, parent/teacher interviews, the staggered kindergarten entry and school breaks.
Thinking about summer camp? We have you covered! Our popular summer programs are not just about childcare, but creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime. Summer Fun, Youth Camp, and Specialty Camp program registrations open April 17th 8:30 am for Banff Residents. For details and how to register, click here or visit
